Shannan is a native Houstonian with 20 years of dedicated public service in City Government. As Chief Deputy City Controller, Shannan has created and streamlined processes to safeguard city assets, resulting in thousands of dollars in reimbursements to the city. Her community service includes managing Bank On Houston, a national program that brings the unbanked and underbanked into the financial mainstream and providing accessible information to various communities and high schools. She is a graduate of M.B. Smiley High School. With a BA in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston – Downtown, Shannan is committed to using her expertise to benefit Houston as she runs for Controller. Shannan Nobles is married to Robert Nobles III who is a graduate of the University of Houston and currently serves as a VP in the private sector. They are proud parents to two daughters.
